Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By creating an account or using OJMove, you agree to them.

1. Who we are & acceptance

OJMove is an online marketplace operated in Nigeria that connects buyers, sellers, businesses, and service providers. By accessing or using the platform you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Nigerian law to use OJMove. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.

3. Your account

Each account must be tied to your real name. You may not impersonate others, create accounts to evade suspension, or share staff/business access improperly. Staff and business accounts have restricted roles and cannot transact as consumers. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Listings & content

You are solely responsible for the items, jobs, services, and content you post, and you confirm you have the right to sell or offer them. Listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading. Prohibited items (including firearms, illegal drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods, wildlife products, and fraud-related items) are not allowed and will be removed. We may remove content or listings that breach these Terms.

5. Transactions, escrow & safety

OJMove is a venue; the contract for any sale is between buyer and seller. Where available, our escrow service holds a buyer's payment until they confirm the item, then releases it (minus any platform fee) to the seller. We strongly recommend keeping all communication and payment inside the app, inspecting items before paying, and meeting in safe public places. We are not a party to, and not responsible for, off-platform dealings.

6. Fees & payments

Browsing, buying, and selling are free unless stated otherwise. Where escrow, delivery, promotion, or business features carry a fee, the amount is shown before you commit. Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Paystack); your use of those services is subject to their terms. Applicable taxes are your responsibility.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: post unlawful or infringing content; defraud or harass others; spam offers, messages, or reports; scrape or abuse the platform; attempt to bypass security; or use the platform for money laundering or other illegal purposes. Abuse may result in removal, suspension, or referral to authorities.

8. Verification & trust

We may offer identity verification (ID, NIN/BVN) and badges to build trust. Verification does not guarantee a user's conduct; always exercise your own judgement when transacting.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OJMove is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts, omissions, items, or content of users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

10. Disputes & moderation

If something goes wrong, contact the other party in-app first, then open a support ticket. We may mediate, take down content, or restrict accounts at our discretion. You may appeal a moderation decision by contacting support.

11. Termination

You may stop using OJMove and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Certain records may be retained as required by law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law & contact

OJMove is operated by a company registered in Nigeria; our full registered details are available on request. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions? Contact supports@ojmove.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
